Commonwealth Movers INC

We moved out of our house and into a rental plus needed to move items into storage. The crew was organized, easy to work with and fast. Highly recommend this company!

We used Commonwealth for a full house move from Maryland to Delaware. They provided outstanding service from the initial estimating process with clarity of estimate cost makeup, thru helping us prepare for the move, packing and unpacking. Faith and Kevin, the office team gave us great advice on prep...

I have moved a few times in the last few years from finishing my PhD in Wisconsin to a postdoc at Penn and now working in DC. The Commonwealth movers are by far the best movers I have ever had the pleasure to work with. My husband and I cannot stop talking about how great Oscar’s team was. They did...

This company is the real deal! The crew was on- time, polite ,careful and extremely patient! I would use them again for sure. thanks for taking such good care of our Mom!

Follow up after the June 2024. Look no further than this company to move. They were timely, professional, affordable and careful with everything. Rick

I have moved a lot and this is the best moving company I have ever used. Not only was the team friendly and professional, they were really helpful with advising me on where to put what in the smaller house we moved to. They took great care of our stuff. Communication with Kevin and the front office...

Commonwealth movers were great to work with! Easy to get a quote, responsive and the moving crew was professional and kept everything safe and clean. Would definitely use them again and highly recommend to anyone.

Commonwealth Movers were Great. Just moved from Northern Virginia to Maryland. It was only 1 bedroom set and boxes but the crew showed up with 3 guys and even with travel they were done in such a short time. Set up the platform bed. Highly recommend. No extra charges. S. Cooper

We used Commonwealth Movers in May 2022 to move the contents of two houses. They were great! Super helpful, super polite, patient when we had to change rooms for certain furniture, absolutely no damage to items or to house. The foreman was communicative about times and flexible when things needed to...

Commonwealth Movers were great for our local Northern VA move. Their prices were on par with other quotes we received, so we ended up choosing them because they had the best communication - and we're glad we did. On the day of the move they showed up early, were fast and efficient, and finished in e...

Great professional moving service and great guys to work with

Our recent move from Northern Virginia to Massachusetts went smoothly with Commonwealth Movers, the best choice we could have made! Kevin came to our house to personally discuss our needs and gave us an estimate for a reasonable price. We asked for full-service packing and a split shipment (sending...

After researching and reviewing multiple moving companies, my wife and selected Commonwealth Movers based on reviews on Washington Checkbook and our own criteria for a "downsizing" move from our home of 30+ years. The "front office" of Kevin and Faith were very helpful and walked us through the seam...

We recently moved from Alexandria VA to western Massachusetts and decided to work with Commonwealth Movers. Best decision we could have made! Kevin came to our house to discuss our needs and prepare an estimate. We asked for full-service packing and a split shipment (sending some items to our son...

Kevin and his company are outstanding. They are responsive, friendly, helpful, competent, and careful. They go the extra mile and more. I can't say enough about how efficient, respectful of property, and hardworking they are. I have used them twice and am totally happy with this great company. They'...

I just moved from Arlington to Charlotte. Commonwealth Movers showed up 20 minutes early with 5 guys. In 2 hours they had completely emptied my apartment. Three guys drove to Charlotte. For the unload they were again 20 minutes early and completely emptied the truck in 2 hours. I was very impressed...

Look no further than Commonwealth for you next move. The movers were so professional, helpful, efficient, and hardworking--they were amazing! We hired them to do both packing and moving, and we had many antiques and fragile items. Everything was carefully packed and handled, and we didn't have a sin...

Our family hadn't moved in nine years, so being a little older and out of practice, we definitely wanted to hire a company for the heavy lifting. Someone in our neighborhood recommended Commonwealth to us, and it was a fantastic experience! Kevin was personable and honest in his estimate, and the cr...

This was my 3rd moving experience in the last 2 years and I only wish I had been able to use these guys previously (I made the horrendous mistake of hiring UNITED VAN LINES for a move to DC from NYC -- never again). This was a lateral move in DC, granted, but it could not have gone more smoothly. Fi...

Commonwealth was recommended by another reputable moving coming in the DC area that was booked, but pointed me to Commonwealth as their go-to overflow company. Having had a disastrous experience last year with Paxton, who's guys threw my stuff around and scratch and beat up some things (sloppy handl...

Commonwealth did a terrific job with my move this summer. Our estimator (Mike I believe) was straight and to the point with me in terms of discussing what we can expect in terms of costs for the move - and the team on move day was courteous, professional, and fast. Whenever I've heard about movers,...
