Great Scott Moving INC

Worked with the team to move stuff from DC to storage in PA. Bobby and Javier were great, efficient, and super nice as well as being affordable. They even helped an older man to his door down the street just as they'd finished packing, literally lifting him up the steps. Class act!

The team at Great Scott Moving is incredible. I cannot speak highly enough of their professionalism and attention to customer service. I initially hired Great Scott in the fall of 2022 to pack up and put into storage my household belongings shortly before relocating to live temporarily overseas. His...

I scheduled a move in Sep 2024 from Washington DC to Philadelphia. Everything went smoothly and I had a great experience. Communication was good and costs reasonable. Great Scott charges based more on actual expenses of vehicle cost, fuel costs, and crew time. This makes the costs very transparent a...

Great Scott's team was excellent for our recent, multi location move. I appreciated Scott (the owner) being responsive for the initial quote. He even contacted me soon after I sent in my request for a quote after hours, giving me my quote by phone and by email. His quote was competitive, he was clea...

I cannot say enough great things about this outstanding local moving company. They have now moved me and members of my family 5 times including just yesterday my elderly parents out of their house and into an apartment. There is an actual Scott behind great Scott and he was amazingly patient and sup...

Great Scott came out in a pinch with just a day's notice when our first moving company wasn't able to complete a move because of weather-related issues. They even honored the price the other moving company bid months prior. The movers were 15 minutes early, kind to us and one another, extremely effi...

We had a last-minute small, local move. We needed to move about 10 heavy or unwieldy pieces. Great Scott was recommended by another highly reputable company that was already booked, so I gave them a ring. They were responsive, prompt, careful, and professional. We also had some struggles getting fur...

I highly recommend Great Scott Moving. They assisted with my recent move and my family member's move in March. Both experiences went smoothly and professionally. The movers went quicker than expected and not a single item was broken. My furniture was reassembled perfectly. Also, the prices of their...

Great Scott Moving was such a pleasure to work with. They were able to help me with a pretty last minute move on a busy weekend and also kept my stuff overnight. The guys were extremely efficient and took great care of my furniture. Could not recommend enough! Thanks again!

Update: I moved with Great Scott Moving again in March of 2017 and had the same amazing experience as I had with the other two times. 3/3--moving perfection! ___ Original review from 2015: Better late than never! I used Great Scott Moving for the second time a little over a month ago and I could...

I can't emphasize enough how much I love this company. We used them 7 years ago moving from a 1 bedroom apartment to a 4 bedroom single-family home, and we were so pleased at how accommodating they were (even stopping by a store we purchased new furniture at to pick it up on the way). So now, movin...

Just finished my third move with Great Scott movers! They do a great job every time and I recommend them to everyone I know going through a move. With three moves in the DC area, I've yet to have an item break or suffer damage in their care. They're always on time, they are friendly to work with, th...

We had a wonderful experience with Great Scott, which was referred to us by a friend. They came over one weekend and gave us a competitive estimate for packing and moving so we knew exactly what to plan for. They also explained how we could cut down our costs (i.e. taking apart some labor-intensive...

Careful, courteous hardworking crew did a great job on our large house full of delicate stuff. Responsive, knowledgeable office staff deliver great customer service. Have already recommended to others, will definitely use again.

Yesterday I used this company for the third time in 15 years. They were perfect. The cost was less than the estimate (no surprise costs). Henry communicated well about how to prepare for the move and saved us time and money. The three guys showed up on time and they were careful with my things by pr...

These guys moved my one bedroom apartment contents in DC into a storage unit in Maryland. They were extremely prompt, fast and efficient. The whole process was painless and even pleasant. I would recommend Great Scott to anyone.

Absolutely phenomenal! Last weekend, they moved us from Cap Hill to Arlington. Mr. Scott and his crew did an awesome job. This was the second time they moved us and both times they moved our stuff carefully, but at lightening speed. Great pricing too!

We couldn't have been happier with the service from Earl and Howard! They were extremely professional and efficient, and we were amazed at how quickly and carefully they moved everything around. They showed up on time, worked hard the entire day, and delivered right in the middle of the quoted time...

I could not have had a better moving experience. Seriously. I was really nervous about the logistics of my move because it involved moving items from my 6th floor apartment in Virginia as well as from my boyfriend's house in DC, to a TINY 1-br in Southeast. I'd never hired a moving company before,...

I was moving from an apartment to a house, and had some challenging pieces (a baby grand piano, and a king bed going up an attic staircase). Scott, Ozzie, and Alex did a terrific job with all of it. We were packed, moved and unloaded in about 5 hours. Friendly, professional, and a great price.

Absolutely fantastic move with Great Scott Moving. Don't bother even researching any others. These guys were referred from my first choice moving company that was booked up. They really hustled even though I paid by the hour, took great care with every item and were kind and courteous even when I ch...
